On Tuesday, 14 July 2026, Lodge Southern Cross gathered to install W Bro Luke Kenneth Collins as Worshipful Master for the 2026-27 Masonic year.

The Installation marked the beginning of Luke’s responsibility for leading the Lodge, presiding over its meetings and guiding its work through the year ahead. Officers, members and visiting Brethren came together for an evening that balanced solemn ceremony with the warmth and fellowship of Southern Cross.

A year built around Unity.

Luke has chosen Unity as the theme of his year. For the Lodge, that means shared responsibility, mutual support, active participation and a stronger sense of common purpose.

Unity is not simply standing together. It is working together with purpose.

The year ahead is therefore set in a clear direction: stronger fellowship, purposeful meetings and a Lodge in which members of different ages and experience can contribute together.

Justin Dorward serves as Installing Master.

W Bro Justin McKay Dorward, Grand Steward, served as Installing Master and directed the ceremonial work of the evening. His role was central to the formal transition, including installing Luke into the Chair and overseeing the work by which the Lodge entered its new Masonic year.

Lodge Southern Cross records its sincere thanks to Justin and to every Brother who took part in the ceremony. Their preparation and support gave the evening the dignity and warmth the occasion deserved.
