Work for the Evening

Proficiency papers are a distinctive part of the Lodge Southern Cross journey, marking a candidate’s reflections at each step of progression:

• Philosophical Testament – prepared before initiation.

• Entered Apprentice Reflections – written prior to passing to the Fellowcraft degree.

• Fellowcraft Insights – considered before raising to the sublime degree of a Master Mason.

• Master Mason Presentation – a newer requirement, where brethren shortly after raising present a short paper on a chosen subject to share with the Lodge.

For our September meeting, we are hosting a special evening. Our Worshipful Master, along with several brethren, will share their proficiency papers. Some were written years ago during their own progression through the degrees, while others have been prepared recently with the benefit of a full spectrum of experience and wisdom.

This will be an evening of reflection, learning, and inspiration, highlighting the enduring importance of thoughtful exploration within Freemasonry.

Entered Apprentices, Fellowcrafts, and Master Masons are warmly invited to attend.
